Our Producers
Hi! I’m Leah Addison. By day, I’m an events producer at Case Western Reserve University. In all the time in between, I produce comedy shows in Cleveland, Ohio.
I got my start in comedy in 2019 in a stand-up class, where I met our co-founder, Jenna. Before long, we were hitting open mics together and seeing firsthand how uncomfortable and unwelcoming those spaces could be, particularly for women and underrepresented minorities.
We knew comedy could be better. We wanted to create shows where people who are often overlooked could take up space, feel supported, and be celebrated for who they are. That meant more than just putting on a good show. It meant building a community that challenges the status quo and makes room for voices that deserve to be heard.
That idea became Snowflake Comedy Club. Since then, I’ve continued working to make Cleveland’s comedy scene more inclusive, one show at a time. In 2025, Snowflake Comedy was honored with Best Showcase at the Cleveland Comedy Awards, a recognition that means a lot to us and the community we’re building.

Sara Short found her way to Snowflake Comedy through our women’s writing groups, and she’s been making the comedy scene a little brighter ever since. With her infectious enthusiasm, genuine warmth, and knack for making everyone feel welcome, Sara has a way of bringing people together and making them feel like they belong.
Since launching Pinheads at Pinstripes in 2025, Sara has been pivotal to the show’s success. She’s helped create a one-of-a-kind experience for both comedians and guests, making Pinheads more than just a comedy show. It’s a place to connect, have fun, and feel part of something special. Her generosity, thoughtfulness, and big personality are a huge part of what makes it all work.
Where is Snowflake Comedy?
Snowflake Comedy is a pop-up Club that highlights local Cleveland business as alternative comedy venues to showcase their work and bring in new guests and potential customers in a creative and fun setting.
WTF is Snowflake Comedy?
Snowflake Comedy Club exists to give a space in the local Cleveland comedy scene that is empathetically welcoming and striving for inclusivity. We want to bring light to underrepresented groups, including people of color, women, and folks in the queer community. Our goal is to create safe and fun spaces for both comics and audience members in these communities.
We believe in a better and stronger comedic environment that "punches up" rather than "punches down" to marginalized communities. Our comics agree to basic guidelines ahead of time to be respectful and aware of how their jokes might impact others before they step up to the microphone. We will always do our best to regulate and advocate for everyone that attends a show to be treated with dignity and respect.
We are not perfect, and we are always striving to do better.
